Howdy, Can one of you transmission experts break it down a little more for me. I don't know all the nomenclature, but I would like to know how the main clutch pack works in relation to the individual forward gear clutch packs. 2. Including with O/D on and off. 3. What non abuse use would cause a problem w/the main pack. Are there any pictures out there? Thanks.

Go to this site:http://www.hemitruckclub.com. They have the pdf format of the manual there. DL the manual for your year truck... I believe they have 2003-06. If I can remember off the top of my head, look under section 21 which is transmissions. The 48 re is there and is a 200 or 300 page printout that explains everyting from the operation of the transmission to assembly and dissasembly.
