I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 5 speed powered by a 4BT. Engine rebuilt when I did the conversion in September of 2009. This truck has several engine upgrades. 12cm3 exhaust housing and will boost up to28psi,larger injectors, mostly silicon hoses, coolant filter, Jegs electric cooling fans (over $600) that only go one when towing or when AC is on. Many more upgrades that I did not
mention. The truck will get 28-35 mpg depending on your driving. this truck is in SW Arizona, so, the paint is flaking and the dash is cracked. This is a regular cab and is a great 4x4 long bed.The conversion will cost you about what I want for the Truck $15,000. Call for photos and questions. 520 360 1819 thank you

Can you give more details on the 4BT please? What version of fuel pump does it have? Rotary or P pump? Did you custom build it or is it from something like a delivery truck? What horse power and torque?

Thanks in advance David

This 4BT has a rotary pump that was turned up and a 3200rpm spring. This 4BT I bought out of an add in the newspaper in 2001. I finally installed it in a V-10 ram in late 2010. There were no cpl numbers. I bored it out 20 over. The pump was tweaked, 12 cm3 exhaust on turbo and larger injectors installed (rated for 50 more HP on 6 cyl). This engine should put out between 140-150 HP and 310-350 ft/lbs. I have pulled a dump trailer with a gross weight of 15,000lbs, it pulled well and I actually had the cooling fans come on that day. I also forgot to mention that the 5spd transmission was rebuilt with the V-10 with all the current upgrades. Turbo
boost is as high as 28psi.
