I've got the Jeep driveable but found that the trans shift into OD skipping 3rd.
During all this time I've had the OD solenoid unplugged.
Backstory, Bought the trans used, unknown condition. Supposedly was a takeout from someone that wanted a manual trans. Pulled the pan, it was very clean. Pulled the OD section for a visual inspection, it showed no signs of damage. Again very clean no debris. Reinstalled with new gasket. Installed new torque converter and pump gears. Installed a SK TFOD-DIESEL Transgo shift kit in the valve body.
Have tried several adjustments of the throttle valve, no difference in shifting.
Starting out in D it seems to start out in 2 and then shifts into OD
In 1st it stays in 1st, in 2nd it stays in 2nd, shift from 2nd into D it goes into OD.
If I hold it in 2nd and take it up to 40mph-50mph I sometimes can feel it go into 3rd for a second and then it goes into OD. And this is with the OD solenoid unplugged.
I have no idea how to fix this or what to look out for.
