Hey guys, building my first 4bt (converted v8 guy). I have a 4b that I have added a turbo (manifold, intake etc. ) off of 4bt,My question is do I line-up the injection pump on the letter listed on the 4b timing cover or should I climb the dreaded farm salvage heap,to see what letter is listed on the bt cover? Does anybody know if the turbo makes the pump timing different?

You must have the rotary pump. The forklifts at work have a 4 version of the P7100 bosch inline. The pump has a timing pin, the engine has a timing pin, pump is installed with both locked. Of course those of us throttle heads unlock the engine and roll the crank back to advance the hell out of the timing before tightening the nut on the pump drive gear.....
