4BT Injector shims

I noticed the the 4BT parts catalog shows internal injector shims for the compression spring ranging from 1. 00 mm to 1. 98 mm with 0. 04 mm increments. Has anyone played with didfferent shim thicknesses and what is the effect?

thats to adjust teh pop off pressure. . you can match a set of nozzles so they are all adjust alike etc. . you need a pop off test to do this . . supposedly a little higher pop off pressure is better. you may be able to add 1 washer to what was in you injectors to bump the pressure up without using a pop tester. . but a pop tested is recommended, i've swaped nozzles with out a ppotester but i have never raised the pressure. . thanks

It looked like the shims incremented by . 04 starting at 1. 00. Do you mean add a 1. 00mm to a 1. 00mm or can you buy 0. 04mm shims?
