4bt - Jeep Cherokee?

Anyone heard of or seen this done? I know its done in Jeeps all the time... ... but I was pondering putting it into a 86 Cherokee I might pick up.

Yep... . I know of a guy that put the 4bt in a newer cherokee and takes that bad boy 4 wheel'n all the time. He loves the torque that the 4bt gives out compared to the stock 4. 0.

Is that Cherokee in Colorado? If so, can you get pictures? I'm looking into the same conversion and was wondering about oil pan clearance and such.

I'd like to see them too-I dunno if my old Cherokee will ever see it but it's always rolling around in the back of my mind. Mate it to a 4500 and tuck it in with the 242 T-case and it'd be one sweet ride!

Yep, he lives over in Boulder. I'll see what I can get, he was prepping it up the other day to start taking out 4 wheel'n again.
