4bt PowerSteering Pump reservoir questions

Ive got a 96 12V in my F350, and to make a long story short... ... need to replace the typical Dodge Vacuum/Powersteering pump setup with a straight PS pump setup from a P30 breadvan. Ive got the PS pump/adapter/gear comin from Avant Salvage for $100 bucks. Will this setup fit ok, in terms of the injection pump? I have only seen pictures of this style pump, and never gotten my hands on one. Im assuming it will clear everything ok, just looking for any insight. Thanks.

Don't tell anyone but I got a part number from NAPA that's for the P30 PS pump, said to be the most volume and pressure you can get.

it's: NAPA part number 20-8709

At least that the one we use on out 4BT's.

How short is the PS pump/adapter? Measured from the Cam gear housing to the back of the pump? A rough estimate would be great. Thanks.

Dont even worry about it, everything should clear fine. you will have good luck selling that setup I think with the 4BT guys (you might try the yahoogroup). Otherwise hydroboost (i imagine what your doing) rules . You factory p-pump that you ordered should be fine and probably very close to the power and volume of the napa pump if not identical I think...

Forget to mention that the NAPA part number is for a Hydaboost pump, you get two return lines.
