Does anyone know where and adapter plate can be found? I am looking at putting a perkins out of a massey combine in a blazer and whant to use the adapter as a template to make one for the perkins (both sae#3 from what I have read). I have seen some for sale, but they included the flywheel, starter and other misc. I am just looking for the adapter ring. Any help is appreciated

Thanks.

getting a SAE adapter

Hello,,

I have been around allot of Massey combines, and still find myself cussing. Anyway, Im trying to mate a 3. 3L Cummins to a auto trans. .

I found this outfit, in Neb. http://www.phxgrp.com/index.html

They make an adapter to fit a SAE #3 to a torqueflite, or GM hydro.

Are you going to powerwash that Perk, before you start working on it?

Whenever I added oil to one, I just poured it over the Eng, and felt it would seep in faster than finding the oil pipe. . HA,

I have sent them an email, but havn't had a chance to call them yet. Thier website lists a #4 to GM, but not a #3. Have you talked to them about a #3 to GM? Yeah it's pretty grimy right now, I need to get it pulled out yet and cleaned up so I can start trying to get things fitted together.

I would look,,

Since I'm on the hunt for a #4 I overlooked that fact. MMmmmm

A SAE#3 opens up a huge world of mid sized trucks options. . Im sure there are Allison that size, The other option would get a reducer from a #3 to a #4 and go from there.

Will think about it and keep my eyes open while I'm on my search.
