Exhaust question

shutoff solenoid wiring.

I plan to if/ when I get my project going.

I'm thinking of trying the HX30 with a HX 40.

Can anyone compare the charts for these two?

Nothing like destroying the fuel economy of a 4bt in the name of boost :D

I thought about this, but I'm being put in check by my very significant other. We had to agree on repowering either the suburban or my CJ, I won on the CJ part, so she got me on the MPG issue, maybe after I find a Suzuki 4wd and repower it with a VW diesel, then I can put the testerone into the Heep. (as if a 4bt in a jeep isn't enough already :D )

a properly sized set of twins should increase fuel economy due to a broader powerband

Maybe in theory and salesmanship, but not usually in actual driving habits of the owner. More boost= more fuel alas more fuel= less MPG this is nearly without exception. ;)

The honest truth about more boost is a higher desire by the driver to push the throttle down more often. Show me a single person who can consistently get higher mileage through twins and not fall victim to showing off or pushing the engine just a "little" further and I will be amazed.

One of the first 4BT conversions I ever saw was in a Jeep Wrangler at Thunder in Muncie - this was probably 3-4 years ago.

Last I knew - he had twins on it. I'm not sure what he's making for power or getting for mileage, though.
