My plan was to purchase a 4BT for my Dodge Power Wagon as I am not willing to modify the vehicle for a 6BT. I recently talked to someone who had a 6AT in a Dodge M37. Said he was very happy with the motor and it is much smoother than a 4BT.

I do not know much about the 6AT other than the basics and they are not that common. Any help or information on the comparison would be great.

Well six's run smoother and the A series will probably rev higher. The 4BT is probably more reliable and alot easier to get parts for. Don't you have 33" from fire wall to radiator in that dodge? That is all you need for a 6BT if you run an electric fan. Thats all I have in my scout.

I have 29" from the firewall to the radiator shrowd, then a couple more of reduced width inside the shrowd.

I just found out that a 6AT is 32" from the front of the damper to the back of the block. Almost as long as the 6B, just much shorter. oh well.

I have seen a 6BT in one with the radiator moved forward. Did not like the look (subjective) so I will not be going that way.

Thanks for the info
