Opinions please; should my next BOMB be a 4K GSK and 4" exhaust or a PDR HX-40?

Yeah, thats what I thought, but I was hoping some of you would say go for the turbo. They are on sale right now, you know. :D

u need all of them. What plate do u have? If ya get the hx 40 then u need the 4" exhaust to go with it. The 4K springs are killer too, but i would not get them with out a plate.

I have a TST #10 in stock position with the AFC housing full forward, AFC kit, 370 injectors and BHAF. The star wheel is turned back for minimum smoke until I have better airflow, but power is good as I have needed to upgrade the clutch.

I know I need them all, but in what order? Just musing, but I have a feeling that Santa is going to stop by Piers's place on the way down hereOo.

adjusting the start wheel doesn't make a difference on egt's and what turbo u have, unless u have a super charger or electric turbo. Bit of advise, slide the afc housing back just a smidge, and put the star wheel forward to about 9. 5 or 9 on a range from 10 to 0, ten being the front of the motor. The safest bet is to get the turbo and down pipe and when u can get the 4" exhaust, get it then, but with out the downpipe. The 4K kit is the cheepest to do, but it will increase EGT's a bunch, especially with 370's and 10 plate.

Arrg!! 4k GSK no the PDR hx40 no the... ... ... ... ... ... ... .

You need them both. :)p )

Most fun = 4k GSK hands down but with the extra fuel at higher rpm's, egt's get way out of hand very fast hence the need for more CFM & less back pressure. (I have found the presence of furds or rice burners magnify this effect ??)

I just noticed you have a 5 speed transmission so the 4k GSK for sure.

Just my personal opinion (& many others)

You guys won't believe this:rolleyes: , but I just called Piers to see what he had to say and SANTA CLAUS answered the phone!

I guess he was there to stock up his sleigh and just happened to answer the phone while Piers was loading up. Anyway, he said get the GSK now, but if I was good, the HX-40's just might still be on sale into January!:D

Boy, Santa sure knows diesels. Between you and me, I think the reindeer are just for show; I think that sleigh is powered by a Piersified Cummins diesel!

Wait till I tell the kids! Funny thing though, I never remembered Santa having a Canadian accent, 'eh.
