Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I just finished a 450 mile round trip hunting at 21,200 GVW on my new 04. 5 and this really improved the mileage, maybe. I live 15+ miles from town, and have an easy 30 mile round trip that I've made thousands of times, and about 20 times on the new truck. I've always shown 13. 9 +/- . 5 for this trip on the overhead, which I make on cruise control at 60 MPH, always.
Well I've made two roundtrips to town tonight after unhitching and the overhead has shown 18. 2 and 18. 4 after each trip.
I put quite a load on and pulled some pretty decent hills getting the temp a couple needle widths over 200 and now it looks like what I expected after 2000 miles, just 2 mpg shy of my SRW. I hope its real, I've been dissapointed at the starting point.
As for the hunting trip, 8. 9 on the overhead.
