The 4th annual Ethan's Rodeo will be held Friday August 16th and Saturday August 17th 2013 at the Adams County Fairgrounds near Mendon, IL. Our family hosts this rodeo to raise money for Neuroblastoma research, a form of childhood cancer, in honor of my nephew who was taken by the disease at the age of 4. The rodeo event will be put on by Outlaw Rodeo Productions of Bowling Green, MO and will include the entertainment of Josh "Porkchop" Garrick the rodeo clown. The Butcher Block will be serving food both nights and there will be plenty of cold beer. Friday night will include a stickhorse parade and sheepchase for kids, along with live music from Highway 99 after the rodeo. Saturday afternoon includes many kids activities such as a petting zoo and several cowboy games and picture taking. The rodeo will again include the stickhorse parade, sheepchase, and the music of Highway 99 afterwards. For more information go to www.ethansrodeo.com or find ethans rodeo on Facebook.
Thank You

Got some good entertainment there with Porkchop. I know him personally and he will keep you laughing all the time. Good luck with the fundraiser. Wish I had know sooner and we would have tried to put it on our schedule.

I meant to have this posted sooner but time gets away. Pork chop has been here every year and I believe his entertainment has brought many people back year after year who would probably not attend a rodeo otherwise. Hopefully he will make it up here ok since all he can afford to drive is a Duramax!:D:D:D Sounds like he has been working on some new material this year so it should be interesting.

I also forgot to mention that are plenty of camping spots available. If anyone needs any more information let me know.

I sure would like to go to this some time! Our son Had Neuroblastoma, so far it looks good for him, been about 6 months since he finished treatment.

Bob,
It is always held about the third week in August if it ever works out for you. Tickets are donated for children fighting cancer or similar illnesses to attend. Over $90,000 dollars have been donated for research funding from the past 3 years' events, so hopefully the momentum will continue. I hope and pray things continue moving in the right direction for you.
Best wishes,
Matt

Thank you Matt, AND a BIG thank you and your family for doing this. We met a lot of other Families going through this while we where at the hospital, some have not had a good outcome. Its VERY humbling to see what these little guys and gals go through at such a young age. This year, God willing, will be the first year our son will not be in the hospital for his (3rd) birthday!
