A new Star Case was recently released for this issue indicating that the dealer should replace the fan clutch which includes a new tether. This case is now on file in Chrysler's system that any dealer can reference in regards to helping solve this issue. I am posting it below in case any dealer cannot locate it or are reluctant to look for it on your behalf. Hopefully this can help solve the A/C issues many of you seem to be experiencing. If anyone has any problem with the dealer in regards to performing this repair please call the Chrysler Assistance Center at one of the numbers below.

Symptom/Vehicle Issue:
Poor A/C Performance During Low Engine RPM Operation
Diagnosis:
Poor A/C performance during high ambient temperatures, low engine RPM may be found. The technician may be unable to determine root cause using published diagnostics. A new engine fan clutch is available that includes a revised tether. If poor performance is found during any of the following conditions follow the repair procedure.
1. High ambient temperatures
2. During low speed driving conditions
3. Using remote start function
4. While vehicle is idling
