Would you like to see a new forum for the 6.7?

  • Yes, a new forum is a good idea

  • No, I am fine 6.7 threads mixed in with the 5.9CR (3rd gen) threads

Please, we beg of you, it must END

200K, 2M, 35K trifecta

With the new interiors, mildy redisigned bodies and the new 6. 7 engine, I believe a new forum is in order. It will also save a lot of time searching for info on the new engine instead of having to look between threads on the 5. 9 CR in the 3rd gen forum. I might be alone in my thinking but polls are fun.

i would say new thread or maybe do what they did w/ the second gens where they have the 6. 7 engine transmission forum and the 5. 9 engine transmission forum

I'll second the addition of the 6. 7 motor/transmission forum addition under the 3rd gen heading. If they started from the ground up with a complete overhaul of the truck, then I could see a 4th gen area.

I will third the idea of having a separate space for 6. 7L trucks/trannys but as stated, the exterior/chassis is still really a 3rd Gen truck, so I think (similar to the 98/98. 5 change from 12v to 24v) that for consistency the 6. 7s should still be under the main 3rd Gen Forum breakdown.

btw - I heard the 4th gen will be out 2009...

I heard it is a way different that current front end - More like the powerwagon concept...
