Hey guys. I've read every where about bypassing the clutch safety switch to start the nv4500-nv5600 equipped trucks.

Can this same thing be done on the new 4th gen g56 trucks? I just replaced my hydros and now having issues with the clutch safety switch and the truck not starting and I'd rather just bypass it since no one drive my truck but me.

I'd suggest reviewing the switch installation first. Switch should slide (by hand) on the push rod and as you pull it to the clutch pedal you should feel small resistance as the springs inside are compressed. It should then easily return to full extension. Also its possible to mess up the order of switch, foam buffer and stem washer on the push rod. Might want to review those items.

That's what's missing. There was no foam spacer/washer on my old hydros. Looks I'm going to be taking it back out partly and using some orings.

Anyone see this not working?

Well after rechecking the order of how everything is installed, I can now start the truck. I still don't have a foam grommet but I put an oring and a piece of cardboard as a shim and truck starts fine.

New problem is that now the safety switch now sticks to the rod as if the rod is bigger than the older style hydraulics and I can start the truck without the clutch.

Any ideas? New safety switch maybe? If I remove the switch and reinstall it will move freely until the first time I push the clutch and then it sticks again.

Not sure who's system you installed. All should be compatible with stock switch config unless noted in catalog listings. Might want to check with vendor.

Suggestion, DO NOT try to remove pushrod from master that is a one time lock in.

If you are missing the collared washer or foam, they can be installed with pushrod installed. Foam is easy, stretch and install it will shrink back. The collared washer use a fine tooth hack saw and make a cut lengthwise, carefully twist to spread and slide it on the pushrod.

I went with valair. I didn't have to install the pushrod as it was already locked in and ready to go.

As for the foam washer and other item. Any ideas where I can find those? Dealer maybe? I just don't want to have to buy the entire assembly for just those 2 items. I will be calling valair Monday to figure out what is going on with it. The difference between my old valair hydros and the new as far as the push rod go are pretty noticable.

Yes sir I will. I'll be calling them Monday morning.

Just weird due to the stock one hasn't been on in years. I got air in the system with the old valair hydros and thus Installed the new. Never had an issue with safety switch moving freely until now but thank you again for all your input and help.
