4th gen seats in a 3rd gen

There was a right-up in the TDR a while back.
Long story short, they wont bolt up without modification.

I have the 2010 leather seats but do not yet the time to put them in my 2005. In any case, all the people who have done this say that the front seats bolt right in, but the rear seats need the 4th gen bracket shortened or a new slot cut into the firewall to mount the bracket. Obviously most people simply cut the bracket a little shorter. Cumminsforum.com has several threads with pics. Oh yeah, 4th gen seat belts don't match wth the 3rd gen belts, so you need to transfer the 3rd gen seatbelt female fastener onto the 4th gen seat, but that also bolts right up.
