The seats in the new trucks are NICE! Heck of a lot more comfy than mine.

Has anyone tried this yet? Or have any useful info about it?

No word from anyone on this yet? I've been thinking about this for awhile. My '01 seat is a bit long in the tooth. Rather than getting a new cushion (Genos just came out with one) I'd like to replace the whole kit and caboodle. I know that the chair's seat belt in integral to it, but aren't the new ones too? Think the new ones may also have side air bags built in but they could be disabled. Thoughts?

You need to measure it, the Gen2 cab is a lot smaller then the Gen4 so you maybe have to drive with open doors. :-laf

Anyone put other than the 2nd gen seats in a 2nd gen truck? (We've just been talking about using 4th gen seat). 3rd gen seats or a completely different make and model seat?

I bought 2 4th gen. driver seats, one for each of my 2 06 quad cabs. I suggest try them before you buy them . I am not satisfied with them at all. I like the stock seat better. Both 4th gen seats were out of Laramies I believe they were 2011's. I recovered one in grey leather and the other is dark, maybe charcoal or black but needs a new cover. I would sell the one not in use for $250.fob Banning, Ca.92220. Beauty [comfort] is in the eye of the beholder . And the beat goes on ----
I will probably be at May Madness also
