I know there has been a bunch of discussion regarding the upcoming changes to the engine/transmission configuration, but does anybody know what kinds of changes are in store for the frame and body of the heavy duty Rams?? Is there going to be a 4th Gen truck soon?

The rear frame rails on the '07 3500s are flat and nothing back there is higher than the frame rails. Looks super nice for flat bed trucks... no spacers needed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is only true for the chassis cab models.

The pictures I saw were of a 3500 dually and there was no bed. I assumed it's the frame used on all 3500s and the bed was removed for the pictures, but maybe not. Sorry for confusion if there is a difference.

Nope, the 3500 chassis cab uses a conventional straight-rail C-channel frame for easier body mounting... the pickups still use the upkicked boxed hydrofoirmed frame. The pic you saw is likely of the new chassis cab (been circulating since introduction in the spring). Was it this one?

Last runor about the 4500/5500 was a Dodge-designed cab on a Sterling medium-duty chassis, which they would sell as well with a Sterling grille.

I've seen some pretty good spy photos of the next heavy duty Ford and Chevrolets, but I haven't heard anything about significant changes to the Heavy Duty Dodge Trucks in the near future. Has anyone found anything different?

They had a major redesign in 02/03, then a "significant freshening" in '06. I wouldn't expect anything other than minor cosmetics until at least '09.
