When I bought my Ramcharger 2 years ago the 4WD light on the dash was stuck on, and still is. The guy I bought it from wired it that way cuz he said he "thought it looked cool. " personally I think he just goofed.

Well I just recently lost the 90* elbow that went from my downpipe to the rest of the exhaust on my diesel. So I lock my hubs one day when it was snowin pretty good, get in and drive. As soon as I start rolling I hear this awful banging noise. I later on find out that the free hanging exhaust pipe had found its way to lay against my front drive shaft, and the U-joint ends were going a round of boxing with my exhaust pipe. Now ever since then, my 4WD light on my diesel is stuck on, too. Once in a while it flickers, and sometimes it shuts off if I shift between 4 wheel and 2 wheel, but then comes right back on again. I know its not stuck in 4 wheel drive, the light is just on.

Did I break the sensor or what? It may not be related to the exhaust pipe issue at all, as my truck's sensors don't like the salt they throw down in winter and that wreaks havoc on my O/D and speedo already. I don't know, but its slightly irritating.

Any thoughts?

the wires are on the top of t case there is a little sensorup there I would say the wires are touching or grounding outsomehow ?should be a easy fix
