This morning it was 45 degrees and I could not get my truck to go into 4 WD Low Range. Are there any tricks in cold weather.

Explain more why you "couldn't". What exactly are you doing? I assume you have the electric 4x4 shift? Yet another reason I'm getting the stick. Things seem to stick a little more in cold weather, but 45 really isn't that cold. Your best bet is to try and do it while rolling slowly (1-3 mph) with the transmission in neutral. If that doesn't work, try the same thing but glide backwards very slowly. It should definitely go in using this method, however if you have the electric tcase shifter and it still won't go in, it might be a problem with the actuator, in which case I'd have the dealer take a look.

I did get the truck to go into 4WD high and it went hard. Once it warmed up to about 60 then I got the truck into 4WD low. I tried stopped and rolling

Been in the low 20's here and haven't had a problem with mine. I have the electric switch and just had to wait until the light stops flashing. I do have a noise coming from the front end while in 4 wheel drive though. Sounds like a constant hammering or knocking. Any suggestions before I take it to the dealer Monday?
