4wd shifter knob removal

Anyone know how to remove the knob from the 4wd shifter for an 04. 5?

If it's like all the others, with a tiny screwdriver, pry out the plastic shift pattern from the rubber knob. You'll see a nut underneath

Might add that after you remove the nut the knob is also threaded

I got the screw driver down between the center and the know, but how do you get the know up, just pry up?

The center has a ridge around the edge that fits in a groove in the rubber knob. Gently pry up as you go around-- Sort of like dismounting a really small tire.
