OK, I've been reading the archives. I'm tired of my tires rubbing when I turn. I'm tired of my truck looking like some kind of race turck with the lowered front end. I want my front end back up in the air where it should be. I want ... , I want ... , I want ...

Has anyone replaced their springs lately? What did they find available? Old post tend to show alot of MOOG HD springs as the ones to use.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Carl, I had a 1992 3/4 ton that I replaced the stock springs with MOOG HD 1 Ton springs. At the time I also replaced ALL replaceable front end parts i. e. tie rods, idler arms, bushings ect. I bought all the parts and had someone do the install. Total for parts and labor with front end alignment was 1200. 00. A little high possibly, but I HAD to have it done.

I would also suggest replaceing the Steering Shaft. I did not and ended up doing it about 6 months later. The ride improvement is incredible. I ended up keeping my truck for two more years before finding a good deal on my current CTD. Go slow and good luck :D

I also replaced everything on my 89 truck, including going to the HD 1 ton Moog front springs

It came to about $1000 for parts only plus the cost of an alignment with a friends help in installing everything.

What a difference, still get a crunch as I go to full lock that I cant see when the truck is on a jack .

Highly recomend doing the job, you will be very happy

The alignment shop wanted $2900 to do the job!!!!!! They got their Mitchel job book out and added all the job hr totals and wanted $1500 JUST FOR THE LABOR:confused:

Sounds like I will be looking for a set of MOOG HD (1 ton) springs this next week.

Thanks for the advice and experiences.
