Is there any maintenance required for a 2008 3500 Ram 4x2? This is from the owners manual:

At Each Oil Change

² Change the engine oil filter.

² Inspect the exhaust system.

² Inspect the brake hoses.

² Inspect the U-Joints (if equipped) and front suspension

components.

² Check the automatic transmission fluid level.

² Check the manual transmission fluid level.

² Check the coolant level, hoses, and clamps.

² Lubricate outer tie rod ends (4X4) models only.

² Lubricate Front Drive Shaft Fitting (4X4).

The manual from the maintenance schedule also says (w/out the 4x4 exclusion):

Lubricate outer tie rod ends. X X X X X

It's quite likely that the 2wd variants use the same tie rod ends. Just check to see whether you have grease fittings there, and if so lubricate them.
