This is my sheet from the dealer.

Except for toe, they would not touch anything else, because it is in "Spec".

I have a slight pull to the right and seems to wander a little. Anyone that has perfect steering have any number comparisons or suggestions?

Thanks

my front camber is identical, caster shows 5. 8 left, 5. 7 right, my total toe-in from factory was . 25

try more toe-in I know it wears tires faster, but they measured it empty, and when you climb in toe-in DECREASES becaz of their silly steering linkage design.

mine pulls slightly to the right on right cambered roads, and slightly to the left on freeway left lanes, straight ahead on center (level) lanes

Those are good numbers for tire wear, if handling such as the pull you mention is bothersome enough, I recommend contacting Swift Dodge in CA as they found a way to mod a 2nd gen "adjustable" upper ball joint for the fix.

You could probably purchase the part from them of even have their service dept talk to yours to get it done.

Increasing the caster on the right side up to 5. 8 should do the trick.

Would slightly more caster improve the wander/over compensation? I know too much supposedly makes the steering hard to turn.

How does toe-in affect driving? I could see where too much would wear the tires early.

Thanks

Yes, more caster helps with wander.

The previous toe setting could have contributed to the wander and it should be better with the setting you now have.

My first post was assuming you have a 4x4, is that correct?

So you think an increase over what I have (caster) would help then?

And leave the toe as is?

Yes, but only if the handling is un acceptable. Bring the right side up to 5. 8 with an adjustable upper ball joint.

We have found that too much Caster is not always a good thing. Give it a try with one turn in on the toe. That will increase it ever so slightly, causing the truck to track better down the road.

Thanks Greg, I'll give that a try tonight.

I can actually do that, without taking it back to the shop. :-laf

BTW:

I just upgraded to the BFG 285/70/17 AT if that makes a difference on settings.
