I noticed in my new Dodge Manual that there is no adjustment for caster and camber in the 1993 w350 4x4 front axle. The only adjustment appears to be toe-in. My truck has an almost new set or Dunlop AT 285r16 tires on it and it's wearing the front ones kinda funny. I had the front end check by a reputable shop and they said that the toe-in was off? The abnormal wear that I'm having is that the driver side tire is feathering the inside and the passenger side is feathering the tire on the outside? Since there's no adjustment for camber, and I'm told the front end isn't worn, what gives here? Anyone have any insite to this problem? **** , looks like I'm going to have to "overhaul" this entire truck before it's over with!... ... ... ... ... Ken

Racer Brown, My 92 is wearing the front tires exactly as you have described. I haven't figured this one out either. The truck does seem to handle very well also. MPb

On both of my trucks, I have the same problem with alignment. I am forever rotating tires and visiting the truck shop near me.
Racer Brown,
I am not familar with the alignment process, (wish I was) but the truck shop that I take my trucks to had to replace shims in my dump truck's front end on one side, this helped drastically. And it is difficult to find anyone who can align anything any more.
Good luck

Have a real good shop check the alignment. Be sure the leaf spring bushings are good. Caster and camber can be adjusted with tapered shims behind the spindles. Toe in is the only easy adjustment, and may be all you need. Also check that ball joints and tie rod ends are good, and the tube between the tie rod ends is straight.

Well, I found a front end shop that has the shims to correct this "misalignment". They're going to check the alignment and let me know how much it's off in degrees. I'm going to buy the shims from them and do the work myself. That should save me a "C" note or so. Thanks again for all the info... .
