4x4 light remaining on

my 4x4 indicator light will not turn off it. It stays on when I have two wheel drive engaged. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

There is a 2 wire plug on top of the t-case that goes into the 4wd sender. It is just a ball that gets pushed up and down and grounds out when you shift into 4wd. Chances are the ball is stuck. Pull the sensor and inspect the wiring to make sure it is not grounding out.

Mine also did this. . Just that little sensor thingy. . Not a big deal. .

Thanks I will pull the sensor out sometime tomorrow at work and check it out. I just got done installing a new flywheel and clutch and when I went back up with transmission that light stayed on.
