Ok!

4x4 light will not come on at all, vacuum hoses are ok, 4x4 engages fine.

Also, once i'm moving over 40KM's/h, i get a kind of binding sound, and i can feel it in the wheel. Hit the gas or the brakes..... it's smooth! Whats goin on here??

the light probably the sensor that is screwed in the end of the actuator on the axle disconnect when the rod slide over to move the shift fork to ingage the axle it hit the end of the sensor which then that sensor makes the light come on in the dash. As for the binding check you ujoints put the transfer case in neutral and spin the front drive shaft and see if it is stiff other then that not sure.

I had a similar problem when I bought my truck. WHen in 4x4, light would come on at times, with any power the front axle would pop into 2wd and make a banging noise. Ran hot vacuum to actuator, no fix. Actuator held good vac = OK. Noticed with actuator and cover off, the inner and outer right front axles were sloppy, up and down play. Replaced plastic bushing between axles, but it fit sloppy in the INNER axle. Replaced inner r/f axle, axle seals, 2 plastic bushings, and 4x4 works every time.
