4x4 shifter knob removal-2004 2500

I am looking for some help on removing the knob for the 4x4 shifter on the floor. The plastic shroud that holds the boot broke from the mounting brackets. I hope to be able to epoxy the brackets to the shroud but can not figure out how to do this. Any suggestions?

On an 02 the knob is removed by prying up the plate on top of the knob with a small flathead.

Thank you for the information. I was told the same thing but adding. . use some heat to soften the plastic up prior.
