I remember that there were a few posts awhile back discussing wheel alignment on a 4x4 (specifically a 3500). Can this be done at any specialty 4x4 shop or is there a special alignment tool that only the dealer has. I am getting accelerated wear on my front tires only (which I think is normal for my mountain commute), but one side is definitely wearing faster than the other. Any help would be appreciated.

I also seem to recall that somebody had posted tighter specs than the factory calls out which should be used, and I am hoping that I saved those away on my home computer somewhere.

dresslered,

Try looking at alignment or pulling to the right. I just had mine corrected several months ago... but I can't remember the specs. They had to replace the ball joint with an off set one.

I believe these are the numbers you're looking for. These are from another's post that I copied into my files. I apologize for not being able to give full credit to the originator but I didn't copy the handle. It was an excellant post.

Toe - standard specs, (maybe a little out if you tow a lot, they will pull in as the front end lifts up).

Thanks guys! I had also archived the article and just found it. The previous specs are correct. I believe that we can thank David Fritz for posting it at his site. Also, it appears that the original artical was written by Brent (ASE Certified Gold Certified Chrysler tech).
