5.9 G-56 6th gear swap from 6.7 G-56

I have a 5. 9 version G-56 and am wanting the OD 6th gear ratio in it from the 6. 7 G-56 version transmission. I have done a search and found nothing verifiable on this.



Is this possible? What is involved if so? What parts are needed?



If it requires a major mainshaft/cluster swap it would not be feasible to me to do this. If it were a simple gear swap I would be all over it and I think it would be the perfect trans setup for me.



Anyone know?

Throw some 285-75-17 tires on it. That'll pretty much even out the difference.

Thanks, but I would really like to swap gears in the transmission. I'll be running 38's anyway in this project.

I would contact Standard Transmission and get the correct answer. I had heard... . that is more than just a gear change.
