5" exhaust help

i'm thinking of putting a 5" exhaust system on my truck, but not sure what it would look like on a single wheel truck? does anyone have a picture of it exiting on there single wheel truck? has anyone had any luck finding an exhaust tip for the 5" systems? i appreciate your help in advance!

5 inch looks great on a single. Few guys I know have it. Exiting straight out with no tip looks good but I prefer a tip. I have a 5 inch tip on my stock exhaust. A true 5 inch with a slip on 5 inch tip may be enough, but you could go to a 6 inch tip but may look a bit bit on a single. Its all a personal preference though.

anyone make a ss 5 inch that exits straight out the back?

getting drag comp in 2 weeks ...

laredo diesel/jr adkins 55 tubo in a month or two...

would like a well made 5" rear exit to meet DHRA tech

I got my tip from a Peterbuilt dealer. It was a 6" mitre cut stack that was 48" long and had a 5" inlet. I took it to an exhaust shop and had them cut it down and weld it on. It cost me $125 (canadian) for the stack and $40 to have it put on.

a question for you guys with that 5"exhaust,can you still keep your stock 265 spare tire in the factory location? thanks. also how awsome does it sound?

The stock tire will fit fine with the exhaust. The best source I have found for pipe or chrome tips is www.airflo.com



If you do not see it on the site, call them and they will cut it special. I paid $40. 00 for a 2 foot piece of 6" chrome for my tip... CJ

Scott, that is some kind of craftsmanship on that system! Was it a custom bend/install? I sure would like to find a single "muffler back" 5 inch tail pipe that fit like that!

Matt, Thanks i did the whole system my self, all w/ 5" pieces cut and fit tog. i'm working on a jig to sell my 5" setups, i'm gonna make daul and single like you see and a set of tail pipes out the back, i will post pic's when the pipes are made, i just got confirmation that the shop i was looking at is mine so i'll finnaly be able to devote some time to makieng some of these setups. if you go into readers rigs and look for LLawerance, he has one of my setups too. Pm me if ya want better pic's of mine and his, maybe i can help ya out soon.
