I'm looking for a good 5" exhaust or bigger. I see a lot of products out there, but I was wanting to know if anyone out there that has something that they have tried and liked. Thanks for the help

I got a kit from shopdiesel.com it is not stainless but the hole kit minus the muffler ( down pipe, hangers, ect)for like $259. 00 plus shipping like a year ago. I love it! No frills! Great fit! easy install! A 10 in my book!

How about disliked?

I went with a 4" down pipe into 5" pipe back to a Donalson 5" inlet/outlet Silent Partner #M101181 then 5" tail pipe. My goal was max flow while staying super quiet.

It has a nice deep big truck tone more loud than stock and a horrible in-cab drone at 1600-1900 rpms, worse while under any load. I went with this muffler as Donalson states its 50% more quiet under power than their other mufflers however the Silent Partner was developed mainly to quiet engine braking.

Soon I will change it back to a 4" system using Donaldson #M090544 that many have reported just as quiet if not more than stock yet with way more flow.

The Silent Partner is new so I thought I would post my experience in-case anyone searches the forums using that name.

Does any one know of a 5" glasspack or muffler that doesn't have the scoops in it ,just the perforated holes like a glasspack ? I dont want to lose the deep tone or the turbo spooling sound,I just want to take the edge off.

I have a Dynaflex resonator sitting in my garage, that I removed from my truck, if you are interested in it. IIRC, if just has the holrs inside. Would have to look for sure. HAD to run it with the 5" turbo-tail kit I bought before the stacks. Horrible drone without it. Don't need it with stacks.

5" in/out, straight through design, no baffles. Doesn't quiet it down too much, just takes the edge off of it.

Send PM if you like.
