Well guys, as promised, I dun connected my pipes and sooted them but good :)

Pictures of the install... ...

Don't tell Tugger... ... ... ... ... ... . he's going to need ear plugs with THESE BABIES when we take our trip this summer.

No high temp black to your crossover pipe?

One can only go to so many diesel truck pulls/shows and look at all the other diesel pickups with stacks so long, then they have to have a set :p . Looks good.

All the exhaust parts are mounted on/in rubber except for the turbo flange connection of course. The bed mounting is/are engine mounts. Yeah, the engine mounts be way overkill but I'm an overkill guru BIG TIME.

There is resonation when climbing a hill but no more than with the side pipe I ran for two years or better.

It's tough to get her to smoke even with the POD's and modified injection pump/no AFC/21cm housing . I ain't got a tight converter and it's tough to load the engine down unless I try. ;)

Huuuuhhh?? What'd you say???

Nice job, Scott!! Uhhhh, whatcha gonna do with that sidepipe laying around???

Safe Stacks

Thank you all for the comments...

This is one you havn't seen. My wife mentioned that I need to practice "Safe Stacks" along with my new addition. So I devised these "Stack Condoms" to keep the rain out and soot in.

She thinks of everything.

There are so many things I could say about that... but I'd probably get banned. :-laf

That sucker's gotta be loud... . :--)

Oh so sweet...

Nice job, Scott. I wish I could do that. I'd lose my camper in a heartbeat for a nice set of stacks. Hawaii State Law prohibits exhaust configurations that are not in its factory location. I'll have to stick with my 4" out the back.

Scott, Looks great. Do you have some kind of deflector to keep all the exhaust from going straight out the one pipe or does it balence out without one? Going to build some soon and would like to know if I am going to need to mess with them to get even smoke :D. Mine will be more twords the out side of the bed though. Again looks great, clean looks are obviously important to you, keep it up.

Cade

Thanks Cade. And YES it has to have a something to divert the exhaust path into the other pipe only because my exhaust system is a direct path to the right stack.

When I made the box frame mounted stacks the exhaust system pipe is connected to the bottom of the box and thus the smoke/exhaust flow has to split evenly all on it's own. It simply finds its way to the (outboard mounted) stacks as you indicated you will install.

I drove this truck for the second time and find I need a muffler now. My ears bleed when pulling a hill at part throttle. I think the lack of the frame/box allows it to be louder. That and these stacks are short.
