5 speed automatic

I realize that we can now order an HO with the beefed up 4 speed auto, but I would be very disappointed if I purchased on of these only to have a 5 speed released next model year. Is there still a plan to offer a "new" automatic in the 04 trucks. Has anyone heard whether the HP is also going to be increased. I currently have a 96 with a banks stinger plus kit that tows fine, but I want a new truck and I do not want a manual trans, drove one and did not like it.

I understand the 48re has been at least 5 years in development. Since it was released half way through the '03 MY, it is unlikely it will be replaced in '04. They may have a 5 speed in development, but I have not seen any confirmation of that. From what has been reported, the new 4 speed will get the job done.
