Not sure if this is the right forum, but anyone know how to actually get ahold of an actual rep for the 5 star service guarantee. I had a Local dealer replace an injector on a V-10 the mechanic. had bent the fuel rail in the replacement however did not straighten it back so #1 cylinder burned a piston. About $9000. later I still have not been compensated. The dealer stalled until he sold to another party. I was now told that 5 star covers shop liability but the only number I have repeatedly been given is for extended warranty not shop. I am frustrated to say the least. Tommy gun or any one else know the answer. This would be the northwest region as it happened in Oregon. Any help would be appreciated.

Brian, what dealership in Oregon did you go to? Just wondering if you are in the Portland area and if it was one lf the local dealers here.

No not in Portland. Woodburn don't want to mention former name of dealer. But in my business I have to cover employees mistakes. I tried to even split part of the expense with him needless to say I did not give him the business of replacing the motor when he would not cover his employee's screw up.

Ah yes, I know the dealer of which you speak. I looked there when I was shopping for my CTD and decided to go elsewhere. I'm sorry for your problems. Have you tried doing a google search for 5 Star Warranty to see if you get any hits? If I run across anything I will give you a heads up as to where to look.

I don't know why some of these dealerships promise the moon but when the chips are down, they give you the old "sorry not my problem" routine. You would think he would want to at least split the cost with you. Geeze, $4500 bucks is nothing to sneeze at in my book.

There is no "Five Star" warranty that I know of from DC. There is a Mopar parts warranty for defective parts. Do you have a "Five Star" extended warranty? If so, it is not associated with DC and DC does not cover dealer mistakes. I'm sure this is not what you want to hear, but looks like the H brothers got the best of you.

As far as service, Lithia in Southern Oregon is great. As for their sales, hmmmmm, keep shopping. I have bought my last truck from Lithia. Ill go back to Dave Smith. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the service department, just the pencil neck geeks inside the showroom that don't know a thing about what they are selling
