5" w/Resonator and Muffler noise level?

Currently I run the 5" exhaust w/muffler on my 04.

The sound is deafening around 2000rpm under boost.

Will a resonator take that drone away?



I am about ready to go back to 4"!!! :{

it'll certainly help... heck, run two or three of them



sound deadener in the cab really helped my 5"... it'd split your eardrums when I first put it on. now I run it w/ no muffler or anything, and it's fine.

i've got 5" pipes on mine and i have no drone that i have noticed...

do a search on "noise reduction" on here, and you'll find a couple HUGE threads talking about various ways to reduce interior resonance

Well...

Bought a used 5" resonator from Rip Rook.

Had it installed locally.

Results:

Drone is gone for the most part.

Noise level overall is down and the truck does not sound like such a pig anymore.



I think I can live with this!

With my stock setup I always knew when I reached 70/2k rpm Drone noise. I now have the Banks cat back setup and I have no idea when I'm traveling at 2k. I have no drone at all.
