Got back today from the birth of a granddaughter and picked up my truck from the shop and it had 499,998 miles on it. Went back to the house and picked up my wife, she wanted to watch it roll over, and drove until it did. Been one heck of a good truck, very few problems considering the mileage.

Be sure to send this picture and a picture of the truck and a $5 dollar bill to Robin at TDR and she will send you something pretty nice. The picture will end up on the bulletin board at Cummins in Indiana for the employees to see how much we like them and they us!

EB Give us an idea on what repairs have been done to the drive train?? Congrats on the granddaughter

Drive train??, really not much. I've replaced a number of u-joints, mostly the rear one, one hanger just a few months ago. I've had the rear gears replaced, lost a tooth and knocked a hole in the rear cover and lost the oil. Found it within a couple of miles and saved most of the bearings. I've done nothing to the transmission except change the oil and filters. It has been a good tough truck.

I was looking at the new C&C's and thought about trading in my 07, to change from a Standard to an Auto trans, the Aisin trans has proved itself. If I were to buy a new truck, it would be a reg pickup with the Aisin.

EB i guess I should of asked about engine too. Are you running any extra fuel filtration , supplements ect. ?

I love to see this EB! My 08 has 320,000 on it and is still running strong. I'm hoping for longevity like yours has had. How about your exhaust? Have you had any issues with the DPF? Mine is still original but I think about it and wonder when its going to decide its had enough. Like yours though my truck has been pretty much faultless considering its mileage. Regular service and a few odds and ends here and there but overall a great truck.

WOW!!!!!! A half million miles on the stock transmission pulling a 40' trailer. Now THAT'S impressive.

Brings back memories. When my 99 was approaching 500K I made several laps around the Walmart parking lot to be able to get the 500K picture of the speedometer. Got a few strange looks from the security guy
