Stomp dyno'd at Browns Valley RV. The Dyno was made by a company that was started by guys that worked at Mustang. It is a load type dyno. He was smiling when he left. I normally dyno there because it is only 10 minutes from my house.

Congrats to Stomp for the ##'s

and also to you Ron on the much improved :D numbers from the other day. . looks like the new injectors are helping a bunch LOL

Thanks guys!!!!

Well it was a bit of a trip, but I had a great time and met some really nice folks at Browns Valley RV. I made 528/1224 and on water/meth 587/1361. This was a load dyno that really loaded my turbo's just like I load them on the street. I saw 58#'s of boost on #2 and 60#'s on water/meth.

I did however dyno two or so weeks ago on a inertia dyno and got 413/804 on #2. and 486/880 on water/meth. I did all of this at about 35#'s of boost. This is why I wanted to find a load style dyno to see what happend when I get the tubo's spooled up. Now I know that its never a level playing field without having everyone dyno on the same dyno. So I am going to quite a few dyno's this year and will let everyone know how I do on each and everyone.

Now I had better start thanking people that helped me get over the mark. Brad @ Ponci's Diesel Center, Piers, Bradleys Diesel Injection. Just to name a few of them. I can tell this year is going to be fun. It's only January. I am now going to be on a quest to find some more fuel. I have the air to burn it. :-laf :-laf Thanks alot guys. Oh yeah one more thing RonA beat me by 2hp. :D I think he was happy with his results too.

"A few cold ones" :-laf :-laf :-laf

Thats in the first 5 minutes. Watch out when he gets the beer bong out.

Old Smoky

Ok here is the low down on the dyno's. The 413 was made on a dyno jet 248H. It does not however have the heave rollers to get the boost up on a twin turbo motor I only got about 35#'s of boost and it smoked like a freight train. The second one was on a mustang style dyno where I did get 60#'s of boost. Down here we dont have a lot of options for dyno's. Any way you look at it you have to travel 5+ hours to get on a dyno. I wish could have run on the dyno that you have at the shop you work at. I do see that you guy's are having a dyno day on Feb. 27 and its only 612. 4 miles which will take about 10-11 hours to get there. I might be able to come, but I will have to see. I would also like to go to the First Gen Day whenever that might be and then go back for Piers's big event or maybe the one that Jason puts on. Maybe even May Madness this year. That is way to much driving to go to all of them.

Correct me I might be wrong, but doesn't KTA run on a Dynojet that is similar to the one in Dyno-mite's shop. If this is the case I will try to make it to your event. That way I can run on a similar dyno that you big ve pump guys are running on to see where I fit in the line up. :D

All I want is to run somewhere that everyone will agree that the numbers are correct or at least reasonable. Keep me up to date on your guy's dyno event. Also the bomb party that is going on the same weekend.

Stomp

Stomp,

That would be great if you could make it up for the event. There should be quite a few people at the get together and dyno day. We have a heavy weight Dynojet. On ours I make 444hp, vs. PDR's Load type Dyno Dynamics where I made 483hp. I believe that KTA runs on a Dyno Dynamics. Regardless of dyno, you make good power. Hope to see you, and other first gen guys, the 27th.

Mike

There is just something about that dyno of Piers's!

It was quite funny to watch Mark stall my truck at 1700 RPM, but cool to see max boost just like the street while in Direct, that way you know the numbers are real as well as the correction... ... . null.

Jim

Yeah I had to flutter the throttle when they hit the load button.

Hey Fulmer have you ran on a dynojet? If you have what was the most boost you could get just by hitting the throttle on a run? What was the difference between the load style vesres the inertia type dyno?

It does load a little because of the weight of the rollers, but nothing like an actual load style dyno.
