I haven't seen this mentioned yet. .

Right before I ordered my sales guy was going through his mail and got something from Dodge. Apparently they are mailing to previous Ram customers a $500 instant rebate type coupon good on a "Ram Pre Order". . I haven't recieved my coupon yet, but one's on the way apparently. So for anyone else who just ordered a new Ram, check your mailboxes. :)

No other details such as expiration or anything, I'll post when I get mine. .

A little icing on the cake wouldn't hurt a bit now, would it? If it is true I hope they extend it to Canada.

According to my sales guy and his regional rep, yes. I didn't read the stuff myself, I figured it'd be in the mail soon enough. The dealer just got word of it yesterday too, maybe it's too new to make that list. .

Dave, any word on that $500 Early Order Incentive?

Got my certificate today. Good till 9/30. It's a large black envelope with a mailer about the 2003's in it. Not sure if you have to take delivery by 9/30, some of the promotional wording suggests you just have to order by 9/30.

GOT MINE TOO!

I received the $500 RAM HEAVY DUTY PRICE LOCKDOWN in todays mail. I ordered my truck on Aug. 26. I'll take this $500 down to the dealer Saturday and see what happens. The dealer told me when I placed the order that I would get any insentives that were in effect at the time of delivery.

The last time I bought a Dodge truck from a dealer was 1972, my second truck I bought used. So I don't think that this insentive is for current owners. I did request more info on the Dodge web site about 2 months ago, that might be where they got my address.

Hope you all get one too. Every little bit helps.

Haven't gotten mine yet either. Thought it was some kind of regional thing; but "Deep Texas" is about as far away from Wisconsin as you can get since just 300 miles or so North more and you're practically in another country (Red Green Country). Are the incentives "localized" to spur interest? We need some more incentives up here. Was the runner-up in the early-to-order, dry tee-shirt contest and I think I'm now in the lead for the longest-wait-to-deliver contest.

Why, is yours on restriction too? :(

I'm getting tired of waiting for something as silly as paint. . :{

Yup. I do believe mine is the same problem as yours: Graphite paint. The rest of the parts should be on shelves: QC, 2WD, HO CTD w/6 speeds.

It's a little hard to believe that the paint could be the problem. Graphite is like gray; and don't you mix black and white to get gray? At least that's what we did in finger painting class in second grade. How can you run out of paint anyway?

Also sled dog team just arrived with my $500 coupon. After using the wife's car, she was "cleaning it out for me" and said, "Here, what's this stuck between the seats?" I dont' feel so slighted now. This helps, but it still seems like a long wait for a standard truck.

Maybe we should start some support group for people waiting for Graphite Metallic trucks. :)

It does seem silly. . But I've heard of sillier. I heard they actually ran out of black for Grand Cherokees one year.

I've got my fingers crossed for some good news when I call DC monday. Mine's been on restriction for almost a month now, gotta have some movement soon. .

I too received a Brochure and a $500. 00 "lock in Price" certificate from Dodge in the mail. You do have to send in a card for "more information"!

No, you don't actually. . The bottom most card is a card for more information. But the section above that also tears out, and that is your "certificate". I made a copy and gave the original to my salesguy, he put it in my folder and said that's all I needed to do.

Should be just that simple.

Oakwood - You might want to check the status on your truck, I did this morning and it seems to not be waiting on paint any more. I'd be curious to know if yours also got moving along (mine went from BG to BX).

Dave M. : My truck went D1 today. Now the big question is will it make it from Mexico to the D/C Belvidere, IL assembly plant before I leave for No. Calif. on Oct. 1. Anyone know the best/worst transit times for cars on double-deck railroad flatcars on that segment? Once in Belvidere it's "red tagged" (12 hour delivery) to the little country garage where I placed the order in mid-June!! I guess the paint problem has been solved. Where's yours?
