Just for fun the other day while doing some work on the exhaust on my truck, I put on my stock muffler and tail pipe and took it out for a ride. My truck has been breathing through strait 4" off the turbo to 5" stacks ever since I cranked up the power, so I was very curious what effect the stock muffler would make. I will have to run it on the dyno but I am going to guess it lost 50-70 HP just by the seat of the pants feel. I think it it will be interesting to see what the dyno says. Well at least i can hear the radio for a change!

Given your mods and an HX40 I would bet it is more than 20HP. 50-70 seems a little generous. I am very curious to find out what the exact number is. Keep us posted.

Egt's on the highway empty are about the same. I would guess that when towing a trailer the would be a bit higher. I will be dynoing in about 3 weeks, so If i still have the stock muffler and tail pipe on, I will see what the dyno thinks. I have noticed that the turbo spool-up is a bit slower. I will let you guys know what I find out.
