What Convinced You To Go With Cummins?

78/82 ford truck question

I saw it once in a Castrol bottle. I'm sure the dealer could help you out as well  .

Have you checked out the TDI Club?

FWIW, the following link is where I buy it World Impex . VW says that you must use it, or it will void your warranty, something to do with the new PD engines. Not worth thaking the chance to me. BTW, I have an 04 Jetta TDI, as well as the two trucks in my sig.

Schaeffer oil meets this standard and if you order it from their factory distributor runs about 13. 50 a gallon. Also MOTUL, and the european version of Castrol, which VW uses. I have an 05 TDI Passat and 06 TDI Jetta, so far only had the Passat oil changed and only at the dealer. I have heard of people being denied on warranty for running the wrong oil, they will sample if any lubrication caused failures are claimed on warranty.

when the PD engines first came out, i heard of dealers using the wrong oil in them when customers took their vehicles in for service. . i can't really see how the different oil should be a problem with warrenty. the system is EUI injectors on the PD engines. there is no lube oil flowing through the injectors. fuel lubed/cooled
