No load

I've had no issues 85k stock 00 2500 QC shorty 4x w nv4500 +4. 5 turbo back straight. . I did blow a freeze plug on the back side of the head that gave me a heart attack though!!! Its a commuter though, with the occational 20' boat behind.

I've pretty much resided myself in that it's a matter of when, not if my #53 block will crack. I would not buy another one, but I'm certainly not going to sell my truck because of it either. I look at it as a good reason to build something really fun when it's time to replace it. Oo.

63,000 miles towing a fifth wheel 90% of the time. Also running the FMS 100% of the time, never turn it off. Great truck would never think about getting rid of it.

ok here

60k miles, with JVD box on 20% all the time for 50k of those miles. usually always hauling or towing something. just had the VP44 fail, but not the 53 block yet...

53 block

Well the first 22,000 km's burned 3 litres of coolant. I put dye in the coolant and they couldn't find a external leak. Had trouble, couldn't get ahead of a loaded welding truck from a intersection. :{ The next 32,000km's burned another 3+ litres of coolant. Had to plan any passing of loaded vehicles. Since have added about 6 or 8 litres of coolant. Exhaust has rusted through. One time when I had the truck loaded at 11,400 lbs ( yes I went over the scales) I got 30 miles to the Imperial gal. Chrysler and Cummins has let me down ever since I got this truck new with not being able to identify the symptoms of the engine. High mileage, lack of engine heating,( said I needed a viscous fan when the thermostat wasn't opening) engine bucking at 1100 to 1275 , 1800 and 2200 RPM. Just wasn't able to find an intelligient mechanic or service advisor.

Since July it has been putting out 3 to 5 lbs boost going down the hiway. With a top boost of 20 lbs, Should have more with the PNP in. This is about half of what all of you guys get alll the time. ( Boy I envy you lot. ) Of the 50 diesels that I have operated this is the worst diesel by far.
