Have any of you with smooth shifting 6spds measured the throw on the clutch slave cylinder? I'm measuring mine at 23-24mm (just barely meets 'specs' according to the Star Bulletin on Dave Fritz's site) and my truck shifts like crap. Just wondering what kind of travel others are getting.

If you haven't measured it you can use a piece of 14ga solid core wire to slip the very, very small 'access' window in the flange. You may have to clean the flange in order to actually see the window.

After a bad experience with a short shift kit, my six speed shifted like crap also, even after reinstalling the factory shifter. The cure was a new shift tower from a reputable shop. Tower itself cost $100 bucks, and now it shifts like a dream... ... ... :D

Sarge... are you talking the whole top cover of the transmission or just the aluminum raiser ? was the raiser cast poorly to cause a misalignment ???? questions questions . . still looking for a better shift. . same here with the BD unit as to worse shifting than stock.
