5er conversion to ball hitch

There has been lots of conversation about safety of 5er conversions to ball hitches and a thought came to me, considering the increase in torque/hp from 1st gen. to 3rd. gen. CTDs, how much strain do you think the 325/600 engines place on 5er connections?

It might be interesting to go back to Keystone (manufacturer of Sprinter) and ask them the question about modifying the hitch. I'd be suprised if they say its okay, and are willing to put that in writing...

Have a 30' dutchman with a ball conversion put on by Pleasure Land RV it mounted right over the existing pin with no mods was cheaper to do than put a 5er in truck
