Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 5sp tansmission out is it under warranty???

I have a 2000, 3500 and the 5 speed transmission has just gone south with 92k on the truck. The dealers here in houston say the 100k mile warranty ONLY covers the engine. He says the rest of the drivetrain(axles, transfer case, transmission) is only covered up to 36k unless you purchased an extended warranty. Is this correct???



If it is, then I need to pull it apart myself and figure out what is wrong with it. If it "should" be covered then I need to findout who I need to contact to let these dealers know it is covered.

Unfortunately the stealer is correct.

The drivetrain is under the 36,000 mile warranty.

The mighty Cummins is under the 100k mile warranty.

That s**ks. First you break your Dana 300 in your Jeep and now this... Talk to David Yackley and get the 5th gear from Standard transmission in Ft. Worth to fix the 5th gear coming loose.



When it rains. . it pours.....

On the way home it wanted top jump out of 5th...
