ROLLING ROAD BLOCK, BILLOWING CLOUDS OF BLACK SMOKE A THING OF THE PAST Diesel Racing Becoming More Popular: Efficient, Powerful Diesel Trucks, Couple Performance With Functionality, Plus They Smell Like French Fries.

Changing the perception of today's diesel trucks is only part of the fun when Bandimere Speedway hosts the 5th Annual ATS Diesels On The Mountain/Truck Fest July 21-22. This two day event is one of nations largest diesel truck gatherings and features street legal diesel powered vehicles from all over the country that run the quarter mile faster than most sports cars. From diesel dragsters to show and shine everything is here for the diesel and racing enthusiast.

Featured again this year is Dustin Bentz' Cummins Racing, ATS diesel dragster. Dustin drives the first diesel dragster to finish the quarter mile in seven seconds. Unlike the regular diesel fuel powered vehicles, Dustin's dragster runs on Blue Sun Bio Diesel, which is a blend of traditional fuels and vegetable oil giving the exhaust that "French Fry" smell! The perception of diesel vehicles as slow has been a limiting factor in their growth. "This car has proven that the Cummins "B" engine is not only reliable, but has nearly unlimited performance potential. We are currently building a second car with a Common Rail Cummins ISB to go even faster, with less smoke, and more power!" says Scott Bentz, owner of the bio diesel dragster.

Along with the diesel dragster the two day event will feature street legal diesel powered vehicles competing in bracket format racing, truck show, special truck exhibitions, rock crawlers and a vendor midway featuring products to improve performance for both gas and diesel vehicles. Everyone who owns a truck is invited to join in the fun. Saturday, any diesel vehicle owner can compete with Sunday being open to any type of truck from diesel big rigs and concrete haulers to compact gas powered trucks.

Admission Cost for both days: $26.00
Single day admission: $13.00
Children 12 and under FREE with paying adult.
Discount Coupons available through ATS Diesel Performance.

In conjuction with Diesels on the Mountain, ATS Diesel is hosting an open house/dealer tech confernece on Friday July 20. Friday morning is scheduled for techincal seminars. After noon, ATS will opens it's doors to the public.

ATS Diesel Performance is a manufacturer and installer of after-market performance products for light duty Ford, Dodge and GM diesel trucks. Featured products include transmissions, torque converters, air intake and exhaust products and turbo chargers. [/RAW]
