Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 5th Gear Nut Problems on '02's?

Has the pesky 5th gear nut problem been solved on the '02 5 speeds or do I need to keep my eye's open?... .

It's my understanding that in all their wisdom, dc has not bothered fixing the 5th gear nut problem as they figure it will still make it out of warranty.
