5th wheel camper

a guy at a job site i was working told me he ordered a new ford 6 liter power stroke crewcab short box to pull his 5th wheel camper he said he was going to buy a dodge set up the same way but the dealer told him that a 5th wheel would not work because the box is only 6ft 3in long the fords is 6. 5 he said that the 3 inchs makes all the differnce he also said that the ford would make the dodge look sick until he has to put fuel in it i know i had a powerless joke any help with towing of the 5th wheel camper would help me shut this guy up thank you
