5th wheel hitch weight confusion...

i thought my owners manual said not to excede 900 lbs trailer weight at the hitch. The thor i was looking at says 1500 lbs hitch weight. Will my 3/4 ton ctd 4x4 handle 1500 lbs hitch weight?? RRR

it will hold it easily my hitch weight is1750# your manual must mean hitch weight for a pull trailer

You need to look at the GVWR for your truck. Weigh it fully loaded with the people and cargo you carry and subtract. Whatever is left you can use for your hitch weight on your fifth wheel as long as you don't exceed the rear axle weight rating. The published hitch weight usually refers to tag along trailers, not fivers. You won't have any problem with a 1500 pound pin weight. Good luck.
